2012 KIDS TRIATHLON CAMP & KIDS TRIATHLON
Sponsored by Triathlon Connection Tri Club
A BRAND NEW USA Triathlon sanctioned kids triathlon camp and triathlon for kids ages 5 to 12 years old sponsored by the Triathlon Connection Club of Rancho Cucamonga. This camp will feature instructor led swim, bike, run and transition training and a safe, fun, age-specific distances practice triathlon. USA Triathlon Certified Coach, Coach Tony Troccoli will offer Pool Swim, Bike, and Run instruction to prepare athletes for their race. We will also cover the importance and benefits of good nutrition and a healthy life style. This camp will prepare your child to participate in any future triathlon. USA triathlon safety rules apply. There are three options for our young athletes:
- Full Camp: Thursday through Sunday March 22 - 25, includes Sunday Kids Triathlon ($175, $200 after 3/1)
- Mini Camp: Saturday & Sunday March 24 - 25, includes Sunday Kids Triathlon ($75, $100 after 3/1)
- Kids Triathlon Only: Sunday March 25 ($25, $40 after 3/1)
- Kids Run Only ($10, $20 after 3/1)
AGENDA for Thursday, March 22
Thursday, March 22 is dedicated to running. Kids will learn optimal running form by reviewing proper foot strike, heel lift, arm swing, and head position. Kids will be filmed so they can see their running form and make needed adjustments on their own. We will also review shoe structure so kids understand the various types on shoes available, their purpose, and how help their running. Tentative agenda includes:

AGENDA for Friday, March 23
Friday , March 23 is dedicated to cycling. Kids will learn how to be comfortable on the bike, how to ride during training and during an event. We will cover safety, equipment, and ensure bikes are adjusted to fit their posture. Tentative agenda includes:

AGENDA for Saturday, March 24
Saturday , March 24 is dedicated to swimming. Kids will learn how to be comfortable in the water, freestyle swim form, body position, rotation, and breathing. Please bring goggles, fins, towel and change of clothes. Kids will be provided with swim caps. Tentative agenda includes:
